Sweet News & New Things

Happy Monday!
I hope your May is off to a wonderful start!

The past month has been a mixture of business & stillness and excitement & heartache. In mid-April, I announced some new cake and buttercream flavors, and included a few in the April Sampler Box. My favorite of the menu additions is Cookie “Dough” Buttercream - it tastes just like chocolate chip cookie dough, but with the silkiness of my signature buttercream.

I hope to offer a May Sampler Box, but am keeping an eye on the increasing temps — keep an eye out on Facebook & Instagram for announcements!

In addition to new flavors, I have added paintings to my product offerings!
Here is one I am very excited to share, and more are included at the end of this email :)

In April, I had the opportunity to share a bit of my story and a poem I wrote, at my church’s worship night.

Written at the end of December, as I returned to Atlanta, the poem is a reflection on who I was when I lived there, in light of how I have grown and changed. I am more whole now. I’ve learned to give myself grace, love myself, and how to walk in joy instead of chasing happiness. It has been a journey, but I am grateful for each step from then to now and how it is continuing to fold. Even the hard and messy parts—I don’t love enduring those, but I can seen the shaping and growth which results.

I’m especially grateful for the people God has used to encourage, love, and guide me over the years. 💕

I have been blanketed in love, support, and encouragement, including from many who only know me through Sweet C. God has remained ever faithful in pouring out His peace and guiding me through this grief. I would love if you would join me in praying over Jared’s family and all of the lives he touched.

And if you ever need prayer, I would be honored to lift you up. I spend a lot of time talking to God while I bake and decorate :)

I know that is a somber note to end an email, and I honestly thought about omitting it, but it is a very real part of life and I have found my transparency has helped others walking through similar seasons. We are never alone in what we are walking through.💕
